Hotham: The Ultimate Ski Companion
Hotham, created by Mount Hotham Skiing Company Pty Ltd, is a free iPhone app designed for ski enthusiasts. This app provides all the necessary information for an enjoyable skiing experience. With real-time weather updates, you will never have to guess how many layers you need. The app provides information on minimum temperature, wind speeds, and snowfall in the last 24 hours. You can also view live snow cams from various locations around the resort. Keep track of your friends by creating a private group, and see their current location and the difficulty rating of the run or lift they are riding.
Hotham helps you keep track of your day and season by providing details about your ski day, including the number of days skied, runs completed, and vertical kilometres logged. If you have an Apple Watch, you can record your runs as a workout and see your progress in the Health app. Compete with other skiers for the top spot on the Hotham Leaderboard through days skied, lifts ridden, and vertical metres logged. You can also shop online and save on lift tickets, lessons, rentals, and more. Please note that location and logging services require a GPS-equipped device, and continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
